«ARTISTS' QUARTER»
RESIDENTIAL COMPLEX WINS PRESTIGIOUS ARCHITECTURAL AWARDS

The 'Artists' Quarter' residential complex got its name because of its location in the quarter of Shchorsa Street – Serova Street – Ayvazovskogo Street. It features a building with varied number of storeys ranging from 10 to 23. Residential sections form a rectangular square shape.
We set out to create an interesting and modern architectural project, which would stand out from the mass of uninspired economy class buildings. The location of the residential complex close to the city centre and its altitude required a thorough search for a city-planning solution.
Especially important to us was developing an expressive, active and attention-grabbing dimensional composition. Creative architectural solution for the facades is supported by an active volume composition combining two architectural devices: the horizontal direction of the composition is revealed through a four-colour matrix of the metal façade, while the vertical direction is defined by enlarged façade divisions with three-storey blocks of glass curtain walls. All this made it possible to avoid utilitarian monotony of the façade fabric.
In 2015, the ARCHINFORM bureau received a golden diploma at 'Ruka Mastera' ('Master Touch') architectural award ceremony for the project of the 'Artists' Quarter' residential complex. That same year the project also received a 'Stroitelnyi Olymp' ('Construction Olympus') award as the best developer project, which means recognition of its commercial success. In 2016, the project was awarded a silver diploma at the 'Zolotaya Kapitel' Russian Festival of Architecture and Design.
