The main task of the project was to locate a big, multifunctional and technically complex building with office space, a multilevel parking and a car service station in a settled urban environment without ruining the scale and atmosphere of the existing street.
The plot for the designed building of 'Sverdlovksaya region government motor transport service' Sverdlovsk regional state agency garage is located in Leninskyi district in Yekaterinburg. On the east, the plot borders with Dobrolyubova street and on the south – with Radishcheva street.
The building has two functional blocks: administrative and amenity block on the 2-3 floors with the central volume of the entrance office facing Dobrolyubova street, and a multilevel parking on 2 – 5 floors. Technical rooms are located on the socle floor. The ground floor of the building accommodates the garage for trucks and buses, as well as workshop rooms for automotive services and repairs. The floor height is 6 meters for technical equipment installation purposes. Workshop rooms include a maintenance and repair shop, a number of separate workshops for placing special sections, a paint room with a coating booth and two preparation zones. Car access to the building's floors is provided by circular ramps located on the gable facades of the building, with an opportunity of one-way movement inside the building. The circular ramps are also the element shaping the façade architectural concept. The compositional solution places the main volume of the building in the middle of the plot. Only a 3-storey administrative block faces Dobrolyubova street, which makes it possible to keep the historical scale of the street.
